Dywilan breaks the conventions with its own design studio, where for two decades, a team of graduates from the Łódź Academy of Fine Arts (ASP) has been designing carpets anew. Drawing inspiration from textile art and design, and benefiting from ongoing collaboration with the university, our designers continuously surprise our clients. We collaborate with advanced students in textile and interior styling disciplines, sharing knowledge and experience in design.
A graduate of the Theatre and Film Technology Department in Łódź and the Academy of Fine Arts named after Władysław Strzemiński in Łódź. In 2003, she obtained a diploma from the Painting Studio, Decorative Printed Fabric Studio, and Carpet and Tapestry Studio. She specializes in carpet design, encompassing both industrial production and unique projects. Her main goal is to explore new functions of carpets and apply unconventional decorative techniques. She focuses on emphasizing the autonomous character of the object, aiming for the carpet to not only serve a decorative function but also express the individuality of the interior.
The artist engages in creative work, exploring the intersection of textile art and design, with the aim of enriching mass culture objects with the value of unique fabric and expanding knowledge of design directed towards the audience.
She is the head of the Interior Object, Carpet, and Tapestry Studio in the Fabric and Interior Design department, actively collaborating with advanced students. In the field of creation at Dywilan, she has been gaining experience for two decades, being the author of many carpet designs introduced to the mass market.
